SomeOneElse.net ~ Digital Showcase
Recently we built a rich responsive website with the digital agency of SomeOne/Else; it's crafted to work beautifully on smartphone and tablet as well as desktop. A complex set of design challenges made for an exciting project. The site is backed by a robust CMS solution that allows easy content creation while maintaining the crisp and exacting styling of the site. Interfaces cleverly repurpose themselves to provide users with the best user experience for the device they access the site with.
Wiltshire Farm Foods ~ E-Commerce Maintenance & Support

ThomasCookMoney.com ~ Homepage Refresh
We were asked by Thomas Cook to carry out a tactical design refresh for the homepage of their foreign exchange website. Apart from the design we also had to devise and build a number of UI tools to help users research exchange rates, trends and offers for up to 75 currencies. We designed a forex interface that provided very easy access to the most popular and specialist currencies in an uncluttered clean user interface.
Langtons Gin ~ Brand Microsite
Working with SomeOneElse we developed a brand microsite for a new gin. Langtons is a crafted botanical gin made with lakeland water and sold in beautifully made bottles at distinguished outlets. The brief was to build a rich multi-modular homepage experience that told the whole story of the gin, it's process, pedigree and creation. Multi-modular home page designs are a popular web design trend as they help to lead the user through a whole brand experience and we are often asked to use this approach.
Signet Group In-Store Portal ~ UX, Design & Prototyping
We were asked by Signet Group to provide User Experience Design and Business Analysis consultancy as part of their development of an in-store portal for their H. Samuel and Ernest Jones brands. During this project we worked closely with the client to understand and document the business processes that the system needed to support. Through this we were able to design a system that integrated with their existing processes and ran on their in-store tills.
Round ~ UI Prototype for a Single Page Application
Working with SomeOneElse we developed a rich Single Page Application which prototyped a Russian banking application. This solution utilised a range of complex frameworks to deliver a single web application that supported multiple views in one screen. This meant that transitioning between views was seamless and enhanced with smooth animated transitions. At the same time the solution was responsive and delivered a completely tailored user interface for desktop, tablet and smartphone users.
Weve ~ Microsite for EE, O2 and Vodafone
We have just developed a new content managed microsite for the new mobile brand ~ Weve. Weve is a partnership of the biggest mobile operators in the UK, EE, Telefonica UK (O2) and Vodafone (UK). This brand microsite is a crisp, clean and stylish responsive web design which scales nicely for desktop, tablet and smartphone users. The design is courtesy of the branding experts at SomeOne who we always enjoy working with. The site is backed by a bespoke Orchard Content Management System.
Pearson-Fielding Solicitors ~ Branding & Web Design
A specialist criminal law practice asked us to create a content manageable site to showcase their experience and expertise. The brief was to create a site that worked well on all devices, with a particular emphasis on contact information and services being clear to smartphone users in need of legal support. We crafted a responsive site that clearly communicated their brand values, skills and depth of experience.
Harris and Hoole ~ Content managed corporate website
The new name in high street coffee, Harris and Hoole, are makers of artisan coffee in lovely independently styled coffee shops. We had the pleasure of creating this wonderful corporate website for this great new brand. The site is a beautifully crafted HTML5 site with Orchard CMS as the engine room behind the scenes. We worked closely with our friends at SomeOne and SomeOneElse to craft this rich site that highlights some of the craft and beauty behind their wonderful coffee.
Brand Business ~ Brand Microsite
Working with the branding agency SomeOne we built a rich multi-modular single page site that tells the story of the brand strategists at Brand Business. The site is in effect a multi-page site presented in a single view. With in page vertical modules supported by horizontal navigation between content, all supported by smooth animated navigation to enrichen the user experience.
Telefonica, Did You Know ~ Microsite
'Did You Know' microsite, winner of the 2012 Transform Award for the Best Internal Communication. The microsite was used to communicate across europe the togetherness of the Telefonica brands. The campaign itself was over 10 days, with daily emails explaining the move to one Telefonica brand. Each day a new page from the microsite was revealed and each day a competition made available to staff across europe. A great collaboration with our friends at SomeOneElse.
RosyBlue ~ Content managed website
Another collaborative development for London agency SomeOneElse. We developed a cool content management system to fit their brief, in process we developed some really useful Orchard CMS experience. This site is just the first of a range of CMS based sites that we are working on. Using Orchards powerful capabilities we believe we can create really easy to maintain strategic websites for clients.
Accenture ~ Internal style guide microsite
This hand crafted HTML 5 site is a single page web application, but with pages worth of data! What this means in practice is that the page never has to be reloaded, at start up all the data for the page is loaded. To achieve this we used a really cool new technology called Knockout.js. This allowed us to easily update UI components upon each user interaction. A great way to build a more app-like feel!
NPower, Virtual Power Station ~ Flash
This illustrates to users the collective power of using greener micro generation technologies, creating in effect a 'virtual power station'. This interactive Flash microsite was based on a domestic energy meter, which showed users how much energy had been created by npower's micro-generation users. A constantly updating generation total was shown on the meter in the same way our own domestic meters show how much we have used.
Egmont, I Can Learn ~ E-Commerce/E-Learning Site
Egmont Publishing had a wealth of learning assets that they wanted to get benefit from online. Our two principals developed this early learning platform to help them re-use these assets digitally. I Can Learn incorporates an interface for parents to assign tasks to their children. They can track and reward their children too, all from within a fun to use interface populated with some great characters.
RHS, Grow Your ~ iPhone Application
We developed this award winning super popular iPhone application for We Are Friday. The app has been a huge success, topping the iTunes Lifestyle category. This native iOS app takes gardeners through how to grown their own crops. It shows them what to check for while they are tending their crops. The app features in-app purchase of additional plant information and a subscription service to weather alerts.
RHS, Chelsea Flower Show ~ iPhone App & CMS
This unbelievably strong visual app was the mobile hub of the 2011 Chelsea Flower Show. As such it had to be supported by a Content Management System to allow organisers to administer and update app content, add news and announce show winners. The homepage was a pulse of activity as reporters updated show content, a great example of how mobile should be used!
RSPCA, My Pet ~ iPhone Application
We designed this app for the RSPCA, who were keen to create a personal app to help users manage their pet information and appointments. The app integrates with Google Maps, Facebook, the iPhone Calendar and Photo Album to support news, vet search, pet scrapbook and pet diary.
KPMG, Equips 2.0 ~ iPad Application
An image rich coffee table app that we developed with KPMG's london agency, We Are Friday. A mix of stats and infographics, articles and videos in an insightful magazine style. This app is plush and filled with bespoke interactive elements that really enhance the user experience.
Teletext, Explorer ~ iPad Application
In a move away from it's traditional television roots, Teletext Holidays wanted a rich iPad application to illustrate it's future intentions as a multi-channel holiday provider. The application opens with a beautifully interactive global that dynamically shows current holiday destinations from a backend inventory system. With our powerful mapping implementation the app is great to use and a refreshing way to find a holiday.
Primelocation, Primelocation ~ iPad Application
We created this for our friends at We Are Friday back in the months before iPad launched. As ever an anything but 'normal' piece of iOS development, with bespoke UI components a plenty. We were tasked with creating a spiral search results interface to mirror the brands then spiral logo. New property results spiralled into view as the user interacted with the touch display. It caused heads to be scratched, but as ever we did it!
